Colin is now attending MDO 2 days a week.  He really enjoys his new class, the 3 1/2- 4 year olds.  Miss April and Miss Loren seem like really nice teachers.

Colin and the chocolate sprinkle donut face, 5/31/08

Colin went to the Dentist for the first time today.  I’ve been prepping him for this day for over a month now.  Dr. M calls his first visits with children the Happy Visit and it turned out to be a happy event.  Dr. M also happens to be Lynnley’s Daddy.  Lynnley is a little friend of Colin’s so I think that really helped with the situation.  The hygienist was excellent.  She introduced Colin to Mr. Squirty and Mr. Slurpy.

Then he got a new toothbrush and got to show her how he brushed his teeth.

By this time, he was doing so well she introduced Mr. Bumpy and polished his teeth.

And then came the dental floss. Colin was more interested in the Veggietales video that was playing!

Dr. M (aka Lynnley’s daddy) came in to count teeth and make sure they are “happy”.

Yesterday I turned this many (holding up three fingers).  Mommy and Daddy gave me a cookie cake party.  It had orange and white icing and I had orange napkins that I picked out myself.  I wore my favorite orange shirt.  Orange is my favorite color.  I also had dump truck plates and hard hats.  Dump trucks and back hoes are my favorite too. Lots of my family were there…Papaw, Grandad, Meme, Uncle Chase, Auntie Hilary, Miss Emma, Great Granny and Uncle Mike.  I had lots of fun opening my presents.  Uncle Mike gave me a card that sings who let the dogs out? woof! woof! woof! woof!  I like to open the card and sing and dance with the song.  Mommy and Daddy got me the market I asked for.  Now I can learn stuff about groceries :-)   I got lots of cool toys.  Lots and lots.  And some money to buy new clothes and shoes in the summer.
