19 months
Kate at 18 months
Kate turned 19 months this month. I was hoping to post 18 months but obviously it just didn’t happen so here we are!
At her 18 month appointment she measured as follows:
Height: 32.5 in. 75th%
Weight: 23 lbs 9 oz 50th%
She has the most beautiful eyelashes.
And the sweetest little curls
She loves her books! Her top choices are currently
Baby Angels (notice the book next to the gun?)
Where are You Going Smitty Baby?
Good Night Moon
and anything Berenstain Bears!
She is a very passionate girl whether she’s happy or mad. She squeals, laughs, and likes to give big, wet slobbery kisses when she’s happy! When she’s mad…well she bites, hits, and pulls hair. I really don’t know what to do about the biting (or the hitting or the pulling of hair). I keep reminding her that biting is for food. Colin never had this problem so this is certainly new territory for me. She loves her mama and is a little shadow wherever I go.
But when Daddy gets home, well then he’s her buddy!
And she absolutely adores her bubba! She wanted to rock on the dog together
Her vocabulary is expanding. She says Cook cook (cookie), Gogur (yogurt), seese (cheese), uh oh, kitty cah (kitty cat), and the universal word for "I want food" or "I’m thirsty" or "I want my paci" is muhnum num (ie: yum yum). She continues to sign cat and her universal muhnum num
and I’m trying to teach her please, thank you and i’m sorry.
She loves being outside!
If we go out and then come back in there is sure to be some kind of tantrum on the floor. Yes the tantrums have started. She’s ends up plopping down on the floor and sometimes for extra effect she lays down and starts rolling around. If I stick around they could go on awhile but if I go in the other room they end almost instantly. She loves to be barefoot and has started taking her shoes and socks off in the car.
Well I better wrap this up. I could go on and on. She has brought a little spark and sass into our home and hearts! And we love her so!!!!
