A SAHM’s musings

Kate actually had quite an eventful October (aka 14 month). We were visiting with friends at their new home when our little missy fell on her sippy cup and cut her frenulum labii superioris inside her upper lip (thanks Wiki for the medical term). We spent nearly 5 hours in the emergency room and left with four stitches in our sweet baby’s mouth. It was hard for all of us. The entire right side of her face swelled up and she got a little bit of a black eye from the trauma. She finally better and the stitches have finally come out (I think). However brushing her teeth now is a battle.

She got her hands on a paint sponge and paint and she got to paint her first pumpkin.

Around 15 months and 11 days she started using a spoon for the first time. She really loves doing "big girl" things like the rest of us.

Fun times with Mommy (she loves to hang out in the bathroom while I get ready for the day. She gets into all my lotions and likes to sort the bottles in and out of the bag I keep them in)

Kate also loves to play in her bubba’s room and has learned this past month how to open his door!
