accomplishments
Today I feel I\’ve accomplished quite a bit. This entry is not for anyone but for me. Sometimes as a stay-at-home mom, I reflect on my day as I hop into bed and wonder what I\’ve done all day. Some days it feels like nada, nothing, zilch, zero. I mean yes Colin and I are in one piece, the house is still standing and we\’ve managed 3 meals and 2 snacks but other than that I think… hmpf! When I worked in Marketing my days could be measured in emails, faxes, phone calls, meetings, papers filed, ads created and pats on the back. Now it\’s measured in 20 (thousand) questions starting with Mommy, Mommy, wiping a little tooshie, and a button nose, playing mind reader as to what the little dude will eat today and trying to keep everyone generally happy. But today dear readers I reached above and beyond. I managed to get showered, dressed, fed and out the door in time to make my OB appt today at 9am (yeah! as I high five myself) no small task when you\’re preggers with a tot in tow (although he stayed w/Meme while I was at my appt). I also managed to go to the grocery store, return a movie, have a quiet time and a nap time, make a meal for us and another, take out all the trash, and clean the bathroom. Oh and I loaded the dishwasher twice. All in all I\’d say it was a productive day.
