6 little changes!

I found a website that may aid me in making some changes this year!

6changes.com

I’ve read through the majority of posts on this site and it’s truly commonsense, down-to-earth stuff! So with all that said, I’ve been mulling over some changes I would like to make in my life. I don’t know if I want to make six changes this year but let’s start with one.

Change #1

The first change that I would like to make is exercise! I’ve actually been exercising on a regular basis since last August to train for the 5K I did in October. However, that all came to a screeching halt once I achieved my goal! I just quit running and/or walking. The crazy thing about that is I actually missed the sweating and heart pumping action of cardio. So with that said I plan on changing the way I approach exercise. For so long it was about losing those last few pesky pounds that most of us struggle with, but now it’s about ENDORPHINS!!!! That’s where it’s at folks! The feeling of well-being! {and maybe some "me" time}As an example, last week I had exercised everyday in some form or fashion until Friday. And then, that evening, the stress of the day compounded and I had a major meltdown! It happens to the best of us. That’s when my caring husband gently asked if I had worked out yet. "No," I answered sullenly. He gently encouraged me to go hop on the elliptical that resides in our bedroom and so I did. And you know what? I felt better! So with that said, I plan on moving my body daily with a grateful heart! I mean if you really think about it our bodies are God’s handiwork and it’s just mind blowing to think of our heart pumping and our eyes blinking and all the functions that our body performs in a single second without our second thought! Praise be to God!

I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free ~ Psalm 119:32
