smoothie picnic

Yesterday was a fun day. I decided to take Kate to the park so I could run/walk. The only problem was I couldn’t fit my jogging stroller in the trunk of my car. I own a small sedan so I had to get creative!

Let me tell ya, pushing a 2 1/2 year old in a stroller while trying to run is NO PICNIC! I did a 3:1 ratio of running:walking for the majority of the time until I finally slowed to a 2:1 ratio. We went 2.76 miles around the park. I decided to cut my run short give in to Kate’s pleas of wanting to play at the play ground, so we stopped about 10 minutes shy of my goal. You gotta do what you gotta do! Plus, sliding and swinging are equally important to my munchkin and I wanted to reward her for being so good while riding in the stroller.

After the park we picked Bubby up from school and joined my parents for lunch at Chick-fil-a. We headed home for naps and I even enjoyed a little siesta. When everyone woke up from nap/rest time we headed outside to enjoy the beautiful weather and enjoy a green smoothie picnic.

  1. Beautiful pictures! Such a fun day!

  2. Does look like a lovely day. And I HATE trying to fit strollers into my trunk too. Such a pain.

  3. Sounds like such a wonderful day! You are so blessed to have such healthy beautiful kiddos:) And way to go for getting your run on, 2 year old and all. I always dream about running with a jogging stroller someday, but I always hear from people that it’s quite difficult. It’s encouraging to hear that you’re totally rocking it!
