Today we celebrated Kate’s 3rd birthday (which is actually tomorrow) with a few little friends. We invited them over for a morning playdate party. I wanted to keep it low-key and simple for my introverted little lady. She gets overwhelmed in large groups so I knew the key was to keep it small. We had three friends over which really is the perfect number when you are turning three.
The girls played while I prepared the story and crafts.
I read them Look for the Rainbow! book that I found at Target
Next up was color time! The little ladies decorated their rainbows with colors and stickers.
They made “tie-dye” rainbow coffee filters
And Fruit Loop necklaces (with a little help)
Then it was time to open presents.
Perfect for my girlie girl.
Guess who’s getting a Happy Meal… ![]()
Colin has already commandeered the microphone this afternoon. They’re already fighting over this!
Two of her favorites: Tink and a pink book!
Next up: cookies, rainbow fruit, & pink lemonade!
We had a wonderful morning with our sweet friends.
There were no melt-downs, no crying…just happy faces!

how sweet! i love the rainbow theme. and i love that you kept it simple for your introvert. i’ve transitioned to introvert over the last several years or so, so this party would have been right up my alley!
